Home Sweet Shanti Bhavan

I made it to India! I literally picked up my passport on the way to the airport, but after that, had no problems! My flight from DC to Dubai was the worst part, a total of about 13.5 hours. Luckily I had the aisle and was able to get up and walk around a little bit.

Coming back to the Bangalore airport was like deja vu. It was weird not having Joe with me this time around, but it felt so natural to be back in this crazy country. I made it to the school at around 6:30 am, and just in time for a basketball tournament. A ton of past volunteers have been in town for the graduation and its been a blast being able to see some of the people I worked with. The kids are as amazing as ever and graduation went off without any problems!

The best part of the weekend was trying to teach them the concept of karaoke last night. They couldn't stay on beat with the music, and just had a hard time until we put on The Beatles and they couldn't get enough. Imagine 200 kids yelling "I want to hold your hand." It was a great night.

We get a little internet at the school now, but it's slow. I have more access to email thankfully, but have to wait to post pictures until the weekend. Love from India!
