On Friday President Obama decided to come to Arlington to talk to firefighters about the economy.
Luckily for me, the fire station he was speaking at is literally two blocks from my house.
Since I was already working from home that day, I decided to wander over and see if I could catch a glimpse. I thought it would be more campaign rally style where he would get out of the car and say hello, but the secret service kept pushing us back and reminding us it was a closed event, so the closest I got was watching his cars drive by.
Someday Mr. President, someday.
