Get Outta Town

Over the past week or so, I've been having some symptoms.

It was mostly irritability towards all things DC, such as the metro, the tourists, and the ever changing weather.

I was also suffering from a lack of enthusiasm when seeing high profile people

[such as Obama and Prince Charles].

And then one morning I realized I was just suffering from the common restlessness I get every few weeks.

I needed a break from the District.

Katie and I decided it was a good time for a trip up to New York City,

and I was dying to see the Alexander McQueen exhibit at the Met.

We saw from friends from high school, ate at some amazing places, and enjoyed relaxing in one of our favorite cities. The weather was perfect, and we had a fabulous weekend!

I'm now feeling refreshed and happy to be back in DC,

at least for another few weeks!
