The Real World

When I graduated from BYU last year, I got a lot of advice.
Family and friends wished me luck as I transitioned into the real world.
This advice has been helpful as I've moved and such,
but there is one thing that no one prepared me for...
40 hour work weeks.

I can say with 100% certainty that I was unprepared for the monotony of getting up every single day, of never being able to just not show up, and being in the same room for the entire day.

The one thing that has saved me is the fact that I've recently had the chance to work from home.
Even if it's just one day a week, having a change in routine and not having to commute changes my entire outlook on the fact that I have years of working ahead of me. [puke]

So today, as I'm working from the neighborhood coffee shop, I'm grateful for a change of pace and a job that not only pays the bills, but lets me have some freedom from the office!
