It's been a year and half since I moved to DC and I still get people asking me why I decided to move out here. I didn't come out here for a job, I didn't know anyone in my ward, and my family is literally 3,000 miles away.
But I came despite all of the reasons not to, and haven't ever regretted it. Not only that, I keep choosing to stay and am convinced this is one of the best cities in the country.
