A highlight of the New York trip was our visit to the Met.
I had never been before, and seeing the Alexander McQueen exhibit was the main reason we went to NY.
The show was dark and intense, as I imagine he probably was when he was alive. They had about 100 pieces from his collections over the years, including his famous armadillo shoes that Gaga wore. The clothes were beautiful, stunning really and both Katie and I were overwhelmed at the details in everything.
Well done McQueen, well done!
[Fun fact: A few models straight up refused to wear these down the runway, choosing to not be in the show at all rather than wear these 12 inch heels]
