A Weekend Away

This week has been long and very busy. Four new volunteers came in on Thursday, making the total number about 18. There are people everywhere, so some of us decided to take a break and come into Bangalore for the night. This isn't the best city to get away from chaos, but it's nice to eat some real food and get online.

There are always funny things going on with the kids. I'm currently reading "Alice in Wonderland" with the sixth graders. They are having a minor problem understanding the story since so much of it is fantasy. When Alice fell down the hole, they all asked me, in all seriousness, why she didn't hit China, since that is the country on the other side of the world from America.

The days go by so fast, I can't believe that it's July already! There is a firework stand is one of the towns outside the school, so we're going to try to get some fireworks for the 4th. Who knows what they will look like, but it should be a fun way to celebrate.
