It's hot here. Like 100 degrees hot. The tourists are out in masses but no, they do not know how to handle the Metro. Walk left, stand right [it's really simple]. The GRE made for a rough day yesterday, and suddenly my family felt a million miles away.
But in the past 24 hours I spent 2.5 hours laughing with one of my oldest friends over dinner, watched Stefi make cookies and then ate half of the cookie dough, cuddled with my two favorite Washingtonians while watching Oprah's last show, ran two miles, danced to Lady Gaga in my office, and was up until 2 last night Heytelling my favorite Californian.
Suddenly, life seems really great right now.
